Inspired by Nature — Made by Hand
Still Life was launched in 2015 by partners Catherine Foote and BD Soutar-Dawson. It all began one weekend, collaborating and making pieces together for our own home. We worked so well together and fell in love with the creative process. We knew we were onto something we wanted to pursue further.
Catherine, with a background in Fashion and Design, heads up the Design side of the business, product concepts and sketch ideas, while BD, with his background in Engineering, is hands-on with prototyping and production. Our practice centres around simple, functional, quality pieces that stand the test of time.
Drawing from one another's combined strengths, each piece is designed and handcrafted in-house. Starting with a concept sketch idea into something tangible. Our collection consists of planters and sculptural objects. Made using refined techniques and solid materials with a smooth powder-coated finish, making them a welcome addition to spaces indoors and out!
